These terms are an agreement between you and Reality Walk. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Reality Walk on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies to the extent these terms do not cover something.
Reality Walk visualizes your walking activity for motivation and fun. It is not a medical device and provides no medical, health, or fitness advice. Distance figures come from Apple HealthKit and your device's sensors and may be inaccurate. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any exercise program, and pay attention to your surroundings while walking.
Usernames are optional, first-come first-served, and must not impersonate others or contain offensive, unlawful, or infringing content. We may reclaim or remove usernames that violate these rules. You are responsible for activity on your account; since there is no password, anyone with access to your unlocked device can act as you. Accounts inactive for 60 days are automatically deleted (see the Privacy Policy).
You agree not to abuse the service: no attempting to access other users' data, no automated account creation, no spamming friend requests, no reverse engineering except where the law permits it, and no use of the service to harass others. The friends feature is limited to three friends per account; this limit is enforced by our servers.
Reality Walk is free. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid features — every globe theme is included. We may introduce optional paid features in the future; if we do, they will be clearly marked and these terms will be updated first.
The app, its design, characters (including Suni and Theo), artwork, and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Earth imagery is used under license from Solar System Scope (CC BY 4.0) and NASA. These terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or content beyond using the app.
We may update, change, or discontinue features (including online features such as friends) at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using the app at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings.
Reality Walk is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that distance calculations will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Because the app is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to fifty U.S. dollars (USD 50). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you — nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always appears here with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
